Terms of service

Last updated September 5, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and There Squared for the use of Inno — this site and the app. Read them before you create an account. When you create one, you accept them. Our privacy policy is part of this agreement.

Your account

  • Give us a real email address and keep it current. We use it to reach you.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done with your account is your responsibility.
  • An account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in with someone else.
  • You must be 16 or older, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
  • Tell us at once if someone else gets into your account.

Inno is early software

We are building Inno in the open. Features change, move and sometimes disappear. We may take the service down for maintenance without notice. Do not make Inno the only copy of anything you cannot lose — export your findings if the work matters.

Your content stays yours

You own everything you put into Inno: your projects, your guides, your recordings, your transcripts and your findings. We claim no ownership of it.

You give us permission to store, copy and process that content for one purpose only — running the service for you. That includes sending interview audio to our transcription provider to produce a transcript, and showing a findings report to anyone you give a share link to. The permission ends when you delete the content.

Interview recordings

You are responsible for the recordings you upload. Get consent from everyone you record, tell them the recording goes to a transcription service, and obey the recording law where you and they are. Some places require every party to agree before you record. Do not upload confidential material that is not yours to share.

What you may not do

  • Break the law, or use Inno to harm, harass or deceive anyone.
  • Upload recordings or material you have no right to upload.
  • Try to reach another customer's data, or probe the service for weaknesses without telling us first.
  • Scrape the service, drive it with a bot, or work around a limit we set.
  • Resell Inno, or rent your account out to other people.
  • Copy the software, take it apart, or rebuild it as a competing product.

Found a security fault? Tell us at billing@theresquared.co and give us a fair chance to fix it before you tell anyone else.

Our side

The Inno software, the site, the name and the brand belong to There Squared. Using the service gives you no rights over them beyond the right to use the product as these terms allow.

Price

Inno is free to use today. If we start to charge, we will tell you before it affects your account, and you can stop using the service rather than pay.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time. Delete your projects in the app, or write to billing@theresquared.co and ask us to delete your account.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. Except for a serious breach, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your work.

Inno is not professional advice

Inno gives you a method for customer discovery and counts the evidence you gather. It does not give business, legal, financial or investment advice. What you decide to build, fund or abandon is your decision.

No warranty

We provide Inno “as is”. We do not promise that it is error free, that it is available at any given moment, or that a transcript is accurate. Machine transcription makes mistakes — check the transcript before you rely on a quote. To the extent the law allows, we exclude every implied warranty.

Limit of our liability

To the extent the law allows, There Squared is not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost data or any indirect loss that follows from your use of Inno. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

Nothing here removes a liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

You cover us for your content

If someone brings a claim against us because of what you uploaded — a recording made without consent, for example, or material that was not yours to share — you cover our reasonable costs and any damages.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top shows the last change. For a change that reduces your rights, we email the address on your account first. Using Inno after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

The law of the State of Washington, USA governs this agreement. A dispute we cannot settle between us goes to the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, and both sides agree to that.
